help with window

hello all,i could do with a bit of advice please,i have bought a second hand volvo d5 02 plate and have a problem with the window switch on the drivers door.it does not work at all,the central locking,windows and mirrors.if i take the switch out and unplug it and then plug it back in it works perfectly for about 10-15 seconds and then ceases working again,i was wondering if anyone has experienced this before and could shed some light on what the problem might be,whether its an easy fix or whether im going to have to pay volvo a fortune for sorting it out.any advice would be greatly appreciated,thanks Ian

Porobably a knackered switch,when you reconnect it does it light up ir when you selected door mirrors?

hi thanks for your quick reply,yes the lights on the switch work as normal at first but when it ceases to work the light which was on last stays on.

I suspect its faulty switch,easily replacable.you could try a reset and see if it helps. key in ignition point 2 lock and unlock from door switch repeatedly for rew times then windows up and down a few times remove key and see what happens.
