Reaper is ignoring Piano Roll velocity all of a sudden

I don't know what I did to piss off Reaper, but now it's ignoring any MIDI note velocity and playing everything at 127. I'm using sforzando with free orchestra strings that worked great before. Help!

* Are there any JSFX in the FX chain that may be flattening the velocities? * Could you insert MIDI logger JSFX before sforzando to check the exact MIDI data that it receives? * Are you sure that you are editing the Velocity lane and not perhaps *Off* velocity?

Just a wild guess...is this by any chance with Virtual Playing Orchetra 3 where in the PERFORMANCE patches (rather than the STANDARD patches) velocity is via mod wheel rather than the usual key velocity?
