Max file size when recoding

MessageAuthor

Is there a good reason to keep the setting to automatically split files at 1024 Mb during recording? I would be recording concerts lasting app. 2 hours. This is on a Mac.

Hi, think about it like this. If your 2 hour recording is in 1 file and it gets corrupted you lose it all. If its made up of 4 files and 1 gets corrupted you only loose 1/4 of your performance. The more files means more security. If all goes well you can simply join them altogether later. dave edit: plus what Justin said

Makes sense, thanks. (They are already lined up after recording. The whole idea is to prevent accidentally moving them.)
